A giant 39ft Santa arrived at Franklin’s Gardens in Northampton this week.
Santa - the largest inflatable of its kind in the UK - visited the Saints ground in Weedon Road this week to promote the first Northampton Santa Run & Walk due to take place on Sunday (December 13).
Chris Dolan, event organiser, said: “We wanted to start a tradition for Northampton and get the whole town talking and looking for Santa in unexpected places each year.
“That’s when they know the Santa Run & Walk is coming, they’ll spot the Santa first. He’s hard to miss!”
Santa is kept upright by storm-strength ropes hammered into the ground and will be there on event day waving participants around the course.
Chris said: “This is the largest inflatable Santa in the UK and we are proud to have him as part of team.
“This is a family event and we hope the giant Santa will encourage the whole family to come along and join in supporting local charities.”
Northampton Santa Run & Walk, supported by the Saints, is a 3km event at Becket’s Park on Sunday.
Around 2,500 people are expected to take part raising money for six local charities.
