Comedian Ross Noble called in on Weedon last week as part of his cross-country visits to film a travel show.

The Geordie stand up, who is a regular touring comedian and panelist on shows such as Have I Got News For You and QI, was filming for a travel show called Freewheeling to be shown on Sky later in the year.

The show will see Ross travelling to some of the lesser known parts of the country on his motorbike and will be guided by suggestions from his followers on Twitter,

The filming took place at around 5pm and some took place atVisual Vinyl, a record store on the A45.

The store’s owner, Andy Johnson, said: “It was a bit of a surprise because we had not been told about it.

“I was literally turning the closed sign around when Ross came into the store with a camera crew.

“They tried to see if I was interested in a Status Quo LP which they bought from the Antiques Centre and I wasn’t.

“He then told me this was one of the most central parts of the UK and this was the most central record store in the United Kingdom.

“I have seen Ross on the television and liked him. He was very pleasant to meet in person.

“I am not sure if the bits are going to be used in the final show, but I will watch out for it on television.”

Freewheeling is scheduled for transmission in September.
