A 32-year-old man has been sentenced to two years and nine months in prison following a fatal road traffic collision on the A5 near Long Buckby Wharf in October 2013.
Adam Szoltek, of Cressage Road, Coventry, was driving a Daf lorry near the junction of Long Buckby Wharf, on the evening of October 28, when the collision with a blue Ford Ka took place.
The 65-year-old man driving the Ka died at the scene from head and chest injuries. Szoltek was charged on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Szoltek was also disqualified from driving for four and a half years when he appeared at Northampton Crown Court on Monday 9 February.
