A woman in Flore has started a new childcare business for children aged between four to 12.
Lucy Macleod, who has worked in child care for 10 years worked full time at Holbourn house day nursery in Dodford.
Ms Macleod, said: “I had always had a dream off owning my own business and being able to deliver first class child care. As a result off being on maternity with my second daughter I had the opportunity so I registered with Ofsted.”
The club, which is named Millie’s and Macie’s after Ms Macleod’s children runs on half terms from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
Ms Macleod said: “We opened this summer and I’ve had a great response and feedback from the parents was excellent.
“The club offers a wide variety of activities which include science week where we explored everything from making our own volcanoes to shooting water rockets into the air.”
“We also had a visit from firemen where the children saw the engine and learnt valuable fire safety knowledge.”
