Families are being encouraged to get into orienteering at two permanent courses being launched at Daventry Country Park.
The courses, which have been designed with the help of the Octavian Droobers Orienteering Club, will open for the first time at the Mini-Adventures session from 10am to noon on Monday, July 28.
There will be a 1km family beginners’ course and a 2.5km intermediate course suitable for those with more experience in the sport. It costs £1 per person.
John Bowman, permanent orienteering course officer for the club, said: “I have enjoyed working with Daventry District Council to design these courses and I hope they will provide a challenge and an adventure for families and individuals alike.”
